VAD Group is a consortium of two companies, VAD Construction and VAD Development. Established by Amith Valjee, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Property Development at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, in association with his father Mr. Deepak Valjee, who began his career in the construction industry during the apartheid period in 1979, VAD Group stands out in the industry.
In 2019, VAD Construction began with home renovations and has grown into a prominent construction company in South Africa, involved in institutional, commercial, industrial, residential, and renovation projects.
In 2020, VAD Group expanded into multi-residential property development, leading to the creation of VAD Group Developments. This sister company is now building Rewa Estate in the greater Kwa-Zulu Natal area of Durban, South Africa, establishing itself as a key player in property development in Kwa-Zulu Natal and residential construction in Durban.
Founder Amith Valjee, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Property Development at UKZN-South Africa, began his professional career in construction about 20 years ago. His early passion for the industry developed as he accompanied his father to various building sites. His father, Deepak Valjee, has been a key figure in the construction industry for 50 years, particularly in the Kwa-Zulu Natal area, where they have become well-known among construction companies in Durban. During the South African apartheid era in 1979, Deepak was the first in his community to successfully complete training and receive a master craftsman’s accreditation in Olifantsfontein. This expertise and experience laid the foundation for their success in establishing a reputable construction management company, now recognized among leading civil and construction companies in the region.
