Two Generations. One Foundation.
In 1979, Deepak Valjee became the first in his community to earn a master craftsman's accreditation in Olifantsfontein — a breakthrough in an industry that shut most doors like his. That legacy now runs through his son, Amith Valjee, who founded VAD Group to carry the craft further: quality, innovation and community at the centre of every build.
The company operates through two entities — VAD Construction, delivering commercial, institutional, industrial and residential work, and VAD Group Development, shaping multi-residential communities such as Rewa Estate in greater Durban.

Led By Amith Valjee
Amith Valjee founded VAD Group with a commitment to quality, innovation and community engagement. He's currently pursuing a PhD in Property Development and Management Practices at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and leads a team drawing on a combined 55 years of construction experience across both older and newer generations of the industry.
That mix of grounded craft and forward planning is what keeps VAD Group's collaborative approach — and its reputation as a trusted regional partner — intact from tender to handover.
